Inflategate: New England Patriots Accused of Deliberately Overinflating Donald Trump’s Ego

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two years after the infamous “Deflategate” scandal, the New England Patriots are at the center of controversy once again after visiting the White House on April 19, 2017. Similar to the 2015 scandal in which they were accused of underinflating footballs to gain an advantage, the Patriots are accused of overinflating the ego of president Donald Trump.

“Look, pro football teams have been inflating Donald Trump’s ego for decades,” head coach Bill Belichick said. “Even if we were to inflate his ego, which we aren’t, it isn’t like we’re the first ones to do it.” Belichick then dismissed himself to go slash tires in the parking lot.

When presented with a New England Patriots helmet, a confused Donald Trump signed the helmet and gave it back to the team.
